I work in an office, and we constantly have a problem with dead phones. Colleagues occupy sockets, someone doesn’t have a charger, and chaos ensues. We are thinking about installing charging stations, but we are not sure how convenient and necessary it is. Has anyone encountered this? Is it worth investing in such a solution?

Hi. This question also bothered me, but it turned out that not all charging stations are the same. The safety issue only concerns those where data transfer is possible via USB, but modern solutions, for example, a mobile phone charging station, use only power, without data exchange. I have used such stations many times at airports and cafes – there have never been any problems. The main thing is to choose proven stations, and not to insert the cable into unknown ports. If in doubt, you can use your cable only for charging or a power bank. But if the station is officially installed in known places, most likely, it is completely safe.
