Hi everyone! I’m planning a trip to Crete soon and was looking into renting a car, but I’m not sure about all the necessary documents. I’ve rented cars in other countries before, but each place has different requirements. I checked Auto Kosmas and from what I’ve found, you’ll typically need a valid driver’s license (held for at least one year), a passport or ID card, and a credit card for the deposit. They also recommend checking the terms for any additional insurance coverage, as options can vary. It’s always a good idea to confirm specifics with the rental agency beforehand.

In addition to that, you’ll need a passport or ID card as proof of your identity. Make sure your passport is up to date, as they’ll ask for it during the paperwork process.
