Hello
With the rise of cloud-based applications and services; traditional locally installed software is becoming less common. Many companies are shifting to subscription-based models, requiring an internet connection & cloud authentication to access essential tools. While this brings convenience and cross-device access, it also raises concerns about data privacy, long-term costs, and software control.
As users; we often face the dilemma of choosing between cloud convenience and the reliability of locally installed software. What happens if a cloud service shuts down / if a company changes its pricing model? Are we moving toward a future where true software ownership no longer exists? How can users ensure they maintain control over their tools and data?
Checked https://culture-informatique.net/forum/and UiPath Course guide related to this and found it quite informative.
Have you personally encountered issues with software moving to the cloud? Do you still prefer locally installed programs for security and independence, or have you fully embraced cloud-based solutions? Let’s discuss the impact of this shift and strategies to retain control over our digital tools.
Thank you!!
