The first time you’re handed a place in Forza Horizon 6, it’s easy to treat it like a bit of scenery. Nice view, quick menu access, move on. That changes pretty fast once the Japan map opens up and you start chasing events, stamps, money, upgrades, and better FH6 Cars at the same time. Houses now sit right in the middle of that loop. They give you perks that keep paying out while you drive, race, build your garage, and work through the campaign, so ignoring them early can quietly slow everything down. How Houses Work This Time There are 8 player houses available at launch. Mei’s House is given to you for free in Ohtani, and it unlocks the Wheeler Dealer perk for trading cars at the Autoshow. After that, you’ll need credits, Stamp access, or both. Yashiki House in Hokubu costs just 10,000 CR and opens the Estate Builder system, so it’s the obvious first buy. Minka House needs the Blue Stamp and costs 450,000 CR, giving a 10% credit boost in Stunt Party events. Hakusan Mountain Lodge needs the Pink Stamp, costs 635,000 CR, and adds a garage slot plus 10% extra Horizon Life credits. The Bigger Purchases Aren’t Always the Best First Tokyo House looks tempting because it gives a Daily Wheelspin, and yes, that can be brilliant over time. The catch is the 3,000,000 CR price unless you have VIP. For many players, that money does more work elsewhere in the early game. Fuji Unkai House in Shimanoyama is often the smarter mid-game grab at 830,000 CR once the Orange Stamp is available, because its 10% Horizon Jobs credit bonus fits naturally into career grinding. Soko 78 in Tokyo City costs 980,000 CR with the Purple Stamp and gives a 5% Autoshow discount, which feels small until you start buying expensive machines again and again. A Sensible Buying Route If you want a clean path without overthinking every purchase, start with Yashiki House, then move to Minka House when Blue Stamp access opens. After that, Fuji Unkai House is a strong pick if you’re doing jobs often. Hakusan Mountain Lodge is also worth getting early because it helps almost everywhere, not just in one activity type. Soko 78 becomes better the more you use the Autoshow. Vision House, locked behind the Gold Stamp and priced at 1,500,000 CR, is more of a later buy, giving 10% extra Skill Score and another garage slot. Tokyo House can wait unless Wheelspins are your thing. Why Property Planning Pays Off The smart play isn’t buying houses just because they show up on the map. It’s about matching each perk to what you’re actually doing. Stunt players get more from Minka. Career grinders should care about Fuji Unkai. Collectors will feel the value of garage slots and Autoshow discounts over dozens of purchases. And if you’re short on money while trying to keep up with upgrades, event builds, and property costs, planning around rewards and even options like cheap Forza Horizon 6 Credits can make the whole campaign feel less cramped without wasting your best early opportunities.
