It’s certainly gained a lot of popularity after 2010. These days, from my own personal perspective, I see a lot of people around me using streaming video services, be it video sharing platforms like YouTube, Tiktok to web streaming services like Netflix and AP.
Where I live, businesses are coming out with IPTV services and smart TV boxes which I suppose will replace conventional cable TV. In fact, my dad is considering unsubscribing from our terrestrial cable service once live TV becomes available on our IPTV device which we’ve just purchased.
So yeah, I think the cable TV age is slowly coming to an end. In about a decade, give or take, I believe all we’ll have is IPTV and streaming service providers.

I recently found an article https://www.oxagile.com/articl…..ng-trends/ that says that artificial intelligence algorithms will continue to improve and offer increasingly personalized content recommendations based on individual users’ preferences and viewing habits. Artificial intelligence will be a major innovation that will increase video user engagement by customizing viewing paths through advanced recommendation algorithms.

Streaming platforms like Netflix, YouTube, TikTok, Hulu, and others have become immensely popular due to their vast content libraries and user-friendly interfaces. IPTV, on the other hand, leverages the internet to deliver television content, offering an alternative to traditional cable and satellite TV.
The move towards streaming and IPTV is driven by technological advancements, increased internet connectivity, and changing consumer preferences. Users now have more control over what they watch, when they watch it, and on which device. This flexibility has contributed to the decline of traditional cable TV subscriptions in some regions.
As technology continues to evolve, it’s likely that the landscape of television and video consumption will undergo further changes. Your prediction of a shift away from cable TV within the next decade is in line with the ongoing trends in the industry. However, it’s essential to note that the pace of this transition may vary across different regions and demographics.
