Hi everyone, I need some honest advice from people who actually own Infinitis in Abu Dhabi and have tried both options. I bought a used QX70 about eight months ago and it’s been running perfectly until last week when I noticed a weird humming noise coming from the front right wheel area when I go above 80 kilometers per hour. My first instinct was to take it to the dealership because I always assumed they know the car best and use genuine parts. But then I called them and the quote just for diagnosis was 525 dirhams before they even fix anything. A friend of mine who drives a BMW told me I’m crazy and said I should find a good specialist garage in Musaffah instead because they do the same quality work for half the price. He specifically mentioned that if I look for an Infiniti service center Musaffah area there are a few places that only work on Japanese cars and have former dealership mechanics. I’m really torn because I don’t want to risk messing up my car just to save some money but at the same time I feel like the dealership might be overcharging just because of their brand name and fancy waiting area. Has anyone here actually taken their Infiniti to a non dealership garage in Musaffah for major work like suspension or transmission issues? How did it go and did you face any problems with warranty or parts quality later on? Also if you have a specific place you trust please share the name because I’m tired of driving around with this noise and I need to get it fixed properly without selling a kidney.
