OfflineI’m hoping someone here knows more about cars than I do because I’m trying to figure out if I’m about to waste money on a repair I might not even need yet. I drive a 2015 Toyota Camry and lately I’ve noticed that whenever I go over speed bumps in my apartment parking lot or on those little dips entering petrol stations, the front of the car feels kind of bouncy, like it goes up and down more than it used to. It’s not making any weird noises like clunking or squeaking, and the car doesn’t pull to one side when I’m driving on the highway, so I’m not sure if this is something serious or if I’m just being paranoid. I asked a friend who knows a bit about cars and he said it could be the shock absorbers starting to wear out, but when I took it to a garage near my house for a quick opinion, the guy didn’t even look under the car and just told me I need to replace both front struts for 2500 dirhams. That seemed like a lot of money for something he diagnosed in thirty seconds without any real inspection, so I walked away. I’ve been reading online about what to look for when you need proper Car suspension repair service in Dubai and it seems like there are different things that can cause a bouncy ride, not just the shocks. Could it be something cheaper like a worn bushing or a loose bolt? I don’t want to ignore it if it’s actually dangerous, but I also don’t want to pay thousands for new struts if the problem is something small. Has anyone here had a similar experience with a bouncy front end on a Camry or any other sedan? How did you figure out what was actually wrong and did you find a garage that properly diagnosed the issue without trying to sell you unnecessary parts? I’m located in Al Nahda but I’ll drive anywhere for an honest mechanic who actually knows suspension systems. Really appreciate any advice you guys can share. Thanks.
